What you can do with it

Game-asset previews on the go

The typical FBX-on-mobile case: a 3D artist gets an asset review request from a producer during a commute or in a meeting. They want to open it, spin it around, screenshot the seam problem they were flagged about, and reply. Open3D handles that without spinning up a laptop and without waiting for the artist's home rig.

Blender exports, Unity Asset Store downloads, Sketchfab downloads (when you pick FBX), Mixamo animation packs — all supported to the extent the community FBX parser covers them.

Which FBX versions?

Are textures supported?

Yes when they're embedded in the FBX. External-texture FBX needs the referenced images alongside the .fbx in the same folder.
